Volunteering with us

FDCU is owned and run by its members. There are 120 volunteers who run all aspects of the Credit Union from operating service points to being a director on the board.

The service points operate across North and West Dorset and Weymouth and Portland. They provide the venue for signing up new members and for members to carry out transactions.

Volunteers also act as loan officers, assessing loan applications and interviewing loan applicants. They also act as members of the Credit and Supervisory Committees and the Board of Directors which govern the activities of FDCU.

You can see the locations in which we we operate on the "Service Points" page. In addition we are always looking to expand the number of Service Points to provide cover across more of North and West Dorset and Weymouth and Portland.
